Welcome to Team Grover's Assessment Toolbox
Team Grover explored 4 different online tools that could be used for assessment. We focused on Quia, an online survey tool, WebEx for peer-to-peer collaboration, Edublogs, for blogging and reflection, and Screencast-o-Matic, for audio/video production. Each of these tools could be used in a course to help assess student learning by collection of data on what students know and have learned via the survey, collaboration via peer-to-peer collaboration software, student thoughts about readings, activities, and more via blogging, and screen casts and screenshots via audio/video tools.
Each member chose a category and tool and the following pages reflect what we have discovered about each tool. This toolbox has allowed us to build a wiki that we can refer to when we are looking for assessment tools to utilize in future courses.
